In this study, we are conducting a comprehensive qualitative review of coaching notes from our autism support program in the 2020-2021 academic year. Twelve students provided consent for us to do a systematic review of the notes taken from all of their coaching sessions during the year. Preliminary results of the study have identified themes surrounding concerns that college students had, possible strategies and solutions to problems, and celebrations of successes and victories.
The results of our study will be shared with the direct service providers in our program, as well as students (if interested). We hope to hear their thoughts on the coding scheme, as well as feedback on what the data mean to them as providers and students. We will use their feedback to develop the manuscript, which will be written in the summer of 2022.
